NACWC Scholarships

Hallie Q. Brown Scholarship

The Hallie Q. Brown Scholarships are awarded biennially to students who are recommended by an active member of NACWC. The deadline for submitting applications is March 31.

Applications must be secured from an NACWC sponsoring member. No applications are released from the National Office.

Criteria is as follows:

  1. Applicant must be a high school graduate with a minimum C average.


  2. Applicant must be in need of financial assistance and submit with application family income, sources of income and number in household.


  3. Applicant must be recommended by an active clubwoman and endorsed by the member's club and the club's region.


  4. Applicant must be enrolled in an accredited institution.


  5. Applicant must have completed at least one semester in a postsecondary accredited institution.


  6. Mail application to Dr. Gerldine Jenkins, 408 Alexander Place, East Louis, IL 62207.
